Equipment Comfort Advisor (HVAC Equipment Sales Person)
HVAC Sales Manager works directly with licensed HVAC Service Manager, technicians and apprentices who install, service, troubleshoot and perform duct cleaning for both residential and commercial customers. An HVAC Sales manager regularly works directly with the customers developing a comfort plan for their individual needs and budget. Reporting to upper management and ownership is expected weekly if not daily when needed. Communication with technicians, suppliers, vendors, and customers is a constant daily task.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emails and messages left from customers, vendors, suppliers, and other coworkers in a timely fashion within 24 business hours.
- Brief the staff with important information, pictures or description of each job. Communicates regularly with the HVAC Service Manager, Service Coordinator to make sure jobs are being completed during the scheduled time.
- Educate homeowners with products and services available.
- Provide support to the technician via phone, FaceTime or in person on the job.
- Work directly with the Service Coordinator and HVAC Service Manager to schedule sold jobs within 24 hours of receiving a retainer and fully understand the scope of work. Heat loads should only be produced once a job is accepted. Permits will be pulled once the retainer is made.
- On final day of install visit customer to review equipment and pick up final payment or final signature.
- Attend informational meetings and training for products sold by the company.
- Maintain a line of communication with vendors, suppliers, and field representatives. Try and meet with the rep on a quarterly basis.
- Other tasks which directly affect the department which ensures profit and efficiency.
- Maintain high ethical and moral standard when making decisions.
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong customer service/sales skills
- In-depth HVAC knowledge
- Ability to read, troubleshoot and interpret schematics and directions
- Ability to troubleshoot verbally to support staff over the phone or FaceTime
- Knowledge of codes or ability to reference local code
- Leadership skills to provide a positive and motivating environment that fosters growth and productivity
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Detail orientated and highly organized with the ability to multitask
- Good computer skills
- The desire to grow and change with the company
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma
- Valid HVAC License
- Ability and willingness to work a nonstandard schedule
Compensation
$37,500 – $65,000 base salary + commission
